Description:
To provide the Project Manager with an effective planning function and plans as to execute and control the project with the constraints given to him.
Provide a comprehensive planning service to the project management. Controlling the planners and to ensure they are available at all times setting up parameters.

Develop a detailed plan utilising work breakdown structure for the execution of the project in conjunction with the Project Manager with the scope of work given to him and dates.

Establish a feedback system whereby all changes to the original plan are recorded and re-scheduled in detail, by setting up a reporting structure.

Ensure that plans are updated so that information will be available as required on the status of the project with regard of work done and work to be done and the percentage of the contract completed and to be completed.

Work along side the Commercial Team to ensure that all variations are highlighted. Handing out re-scheduled plans and changes to the Commercial Manager and Project Manager and highlighting the changes.

Report on the productivity of the labour force in terms of hours and cost.

Provide feedback information to engineering proposals in order to develop more accurate standards and to compare unit rate estimated and actual, by updating correctly and keeping records of previous plans.

Liaise with client's planning department and update with client and compare discrepancies.

Produce a resources histogram for the project and corresponding ‘S’ curve and revise according to scope changes.

Provide Input to the Project Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports in accordance with Company standard procedures.

Utilise Primavera Project Planning software to its maximum potential. (I assume Primavera will be used?)

Experience Required:
Graduate from an accredited institution, specializing in a relevant field of study.
A minimum of 20 years experience, 10 years of which should be in Construction Planning and Controls in a senior managerial position.
Previous assignment as P&C Manager of a large civil or building project.
Appropriate experience in airport construction & facilities.
Suitable experience with performing similar functions in a Middle East environment
