History of The Delton Group
The Delton Group in 2019 will celebrate 30 years as an independent privately owned Technical Service Company operating in the worldwide Oil, Gas & Petrochemical industry
Our roots were formed by the management buy-out in 1989 of the South East Asia operation of a Technical Service organisation, working in a similar field of operation since 1949. Four of that Company’s senior Directors effected the buyout. The four partners operated the new Company from a central base in the UK, supported by a central Operations Office base in Singapore offices in Indonesia (three offices), Malaysia (two offices), Brunei and Thailand (two offices).
During the first two years of Operation we acquired a UK Recruitment Company, to support the new Group, from where the name ‘Delton’ emerged and partnerships were formed in the UAE, Oman, Qatar & Nigeria.
In 1997, Delton Training Services Ltd (DTS) was formed.
In 1998, Delton was proud to be awarded ‘Approved Centre’ status with a UK Awarding Body, Awards UK, which later was amalgamated in the overall tie-in of the UK’s examining and qualifications Awarding Bodies, now overseen by OFQUAL (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).
The Delton Group has continued to expand since those early days and whilst continuing to service the industries staffing requirements, has now the approval to develop and deliver Competency and Training qualifications and to provide related Technical Consultancy Support Services to our industry.
