Arnold Almond began his career as a mechanical engineering trainee with British Leyland Motor Corporation, UK, progressing through various engineering, engineering design positions and later into a training role, he obtained qualifications in both Mechanical and Production.
Following to his continued interest in training, in 1969 he joined a UK based Engineering Industry Training Board Training Group organisation as Group Training Manager, developing the Group to over 40 Companies in size over a four year period.
Prior to joining Shell in 1974 he spent a period as a Training Advisor with the UK Government Manpower Services Commission, Directorate of Training, based in London. He then went on to spend almost the next ten years with Shell in a series of appointments including Manager Engineering Training at Stanlow Refinery UK. Recruitment Project Manager for Shell Expro in Aberdeen, Head of Engineering Training and later Head of Personnel Administration for Shell International assigned to GASCO in Abu Dhabi, and Training Manager for Shell International assigned to Woodside LNG, Australia.
He joined the Overseas Technical Service Group in 1983 as Project Manager, in the Training Division and in 1985 became Regional Director and later Managing Director of Overseas Technical Service, South East Asia (SEA) Ltd., based in Singapore.
In 1988 he was part of the management team that affected a buy out of the Overseas Technical Service (SEA) Ltd., Group of Companies, later to become part of The Delton Group. During his career he has served on various Employment, Recruitment and Training Committees; UK Examining Boards and Awarding Bodies including City & Guilds of London Institutes (CGLI), BTEC & TEC; Government Training Centre Employment Panels and Technical Colleges and University Working Party Committees.
He holds an HNC in Production Engineering, qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Planning & Costing and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development and a Member of the Energy Institute.
After qualifying in business studies at Stockport College of Further Education Bruce Livesley joined Overseas Technical Service Libya as a Financial Administrator in 1968. Two years later he moved to Nigeria as Area Manager responsible for petroleum contract negotiations, administration, personnel and government relations. He later spent two years in a similar capacity in Indonesia. In 1975 he was appointed Operations Director responsible for activities in South East Asia, West Africa and the Middle East.
In 1981 he became Regional Director for Overseas Technical Service based in Singapore and in 1984 he was appointed Managing Director of Operations. In December 1988 he was part of the management team who effected a buy out of The Overseas Technical Service (SEA) Ltd Group of Companies, now part of The Delton Group.
He is a “Fellow of the Energy Institute (FEI)”.
After graduating in Business Studies Simon joined the Delton Group of Companies in 1994 as Personnel Administrator. Working at the Delton Group head office in the UK he quickly gained experience in all aspects of Overseas Engineering Recruitment, Administration and Employee Relations.
During his 10 years employment with The Delton Group he has held various titles including, Training Centre Development Co-ordinator, Group I.T Co-ordinator, Recruitment Consultant, Office Manager and more recently International Project Manager.
He has a keen interest in Information Technology and looks after the Groups I.T needs, including their state of the art Internet Communication System and Web Based Contract Management Systems, as well as managing large scale International Recruitment projects from initial conception through to project completion.
He has worked on projects in the UK, China, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Kazakhstan. He holds qualifications in Computer Studies, Economics and Business Studies.
After graduating in English from Manchester Metropolitan went on to work as a TESOL teacher in Africa and Europe. Previously worked for a local training provider and also for an IT recruitment consultancy in London.
Working at the Delton Group head office in the UK she quickly gained experience in all aspects of Overseas Oil and Gas Recruitment, Employee Relations, Competency and Training.
During her 4 years employment with the Delton Group she has developed an interest and understanding for the training side of the business and works with clients and consultants on the overseas training projects from conception to project completion. Has worked on projects in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Australia, Gabon, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman.
