Delton work with Wintershall in Libya
Wintershall GMBH Libya (a subsidiary of the BASF Group), operates in the ‘A-Sarah’ Field located in the south eastern Sirte basin, gearing up, following the 2010 Libyan Revolution, to produce approximately 100,000 bbls oil/gas/condensates per day. The gas is collected, cleaned and re-injected, via the annulus, into the well to reduce hydrostatic head of pressure therefore enhancing production flow rates.
Wintershall Libya is fully committed to ‘Local Content’ development of the Libyan workforce and as a result is engaged with a comprehensive range of training and development programmes.
Delton Training Services was awarded the contract to train and develop their Assessment and Quality Assurance/Internal Verification team, using the most up to date qualifications from the OPITO endorsed ‘SQA’ Awarding Body. Delton Training Services will also project manage the development of the Wintershall Assessor and Internal Verifier team.
Delton Training Services has harnessed an SQA Awarding Body approved ‘paper-free’ e-portfolio system with ‘NOMAD’ technology that will enable competency-based assessments and internal verifications to be conducted in remote and often difficult locations with relative ease.
This technology enables information to be captured on ‘android technology’ smart phones/i-pads/i-phones and uploaded at a later stage when accessing the internet. Security encryption enables Candidate, Supervisor, Assessor and Internal & External Verifier signatures to be electronically stored and used as required.
