Delton work with BG International
In 2010 Delton was awarded a worldwide Competency Assurance and Training Consultancy Support Contract by BG Group to cover all their worldwide assets.
Deliverables included providing Competency Assurance support services, Trainers, Coaches, Short specific courses developed in conjunction with BG, including familiarisation courses, HSE courses, technical courses, assessor and verifier courses and train the trainer courses, development of training modules and training materials and consultancy support.
BG Assets included:
Australia, UK, Brazil, USA, Trinidad and Tobago, Bolivia, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Norway, Kazakhstan, Italy, Egypt, India, Tunisia, Thailand, Tanzania, Nigeria, Algeria, Areas of Palestinian Authority, Kenya, Madagascar, China, Singapore and the Philippines.
Main services include, Shale Gas and related pipelines, LNG Plants, Condensate, Domestic gas supply, Offshore Gas production and distribution, Gas receiving and export terminals.
BG was also the joint operator in the Karachaganak gas condensate field and a shareholder in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).
BG Group Project Examples:
Egypt Liquefied Natural Gas (ELNG)
Delton mobilised a team to conduct an on-site skills assessment of its workforce in its Egyptian LNG Asset.
Initially; 2 x teams of 4 specialist Assessor/Internal Verifier personnel were mobilised to BG International’s base near Alexandria, Egypt.
In accordance with the Egyptian Local/National Content policy, BG International assigned Delton Training Services to develop the skills of Egyptian Nationals through on-the-job (OJT) training and assessment, against BG International’s in-house competency standards.
Following the successful implementation and delivery of this on-going project, Delton Training Services is active in developing any required training materials, including trainer power-point presentations, trainee course notes and trainer notes, based on the in-house CAMS (Competency Assessment Management System).
The Delton ‘subject matter experts’ provide competency-based learning and assessment and any required verification services to ELNG’s Operations and Maintenance disciplines, addressing the needs of BG International’s ‘Safety Critical Tasks’ requirements, to ensure safe plant operations and maintenance.
BG Head Office, Reading, Centrica and Dragon LNG
Delton developed a range of site specific and generic training materials covering a wide range of topics, including HSE, Technical and a range of short specific short courses.
Delton technical training material developers worked with BG Head Office staff, Centrica and Dragon LNG staff to develop a range of short courses to deliver to BG assets around the world, Centrica Assets in the UK and Dragon LNG in Wales.
A full suite of training material was developed, and short courses were conducted at BG Head Office and at Dragon LNG, courses included, Specific Project Overviews and Familiarisation courses, HSE courses, safety essentials, front line supervisor, coaching for performance, assessor, verifier and train the trainer courses.
